주인공 하이켄 유고는, 도시 출신으로 기숙사 학교에 오기 위해 오오에조 농업고등학교에 입학한다.
끝없이 광활한 대자연에 둘러싸인, 오오에조 농고의 여러 가지 모습들 속에서 당황하던 유고.
그러나 서서히 익숙해져가며 사람으로 산다는 것, 가축으로 산다는 것에 대해서 농가 출신 학생들과 함께 배워나게 되는데….
