이야기는 도쿄의 한 선교학교에 다니는 소심한 고아 미즈무라 신타를 중심으로 전개된다. 그의 평범해 보이는 삶은 릴리스라는 이름의 아름다운 반인반인 루마니아 소녀가 갑자기 그의 학교로 전학오면서 바뀐다. 미즈무라는 자신이 실제로 뱀파이어 사냥꾼이며 로무알드 가문의 후계자라는 것을 알게 된다.
