에미시족마을에 어느날갑자기 재앙신이 나타나고 휘젖고다니지만. 아시타카가 재앙신은 쓰러트리지만 오른팔에 상처를입는다. 재앙신이 왜 나타났는지 알아내기위해 여행을떠난다. 떠나는도중 모로에 습격을받았으나 모로와함께다니는 소녀를 수상쩍게 여긴다 그 후 타타라마을에 머물게되고 재앙신은 알고보니 멧돼지 신이였던것이며 모로와함께다니는 소녀는 원령공주였던것.
