대륙 흑마술의 최고봉인 송곳니 탑에서 마술을 배우던 소년 킬리란셰로는
최고로 레벨이 높은 송곳니 탑에서도 인정받는 실력자였다.
그러나 그는 모종의 사건으로 인하여 그곳을 떠나고
오펜 (ORPHEN-고아) 라는 이름을 사용하게 된다.
이후 성장한 청년 오펜은 토토칸타 시에서에서 사채업을 하며
그곳에서 오랫동안 무언가를 기다리고 있었다.
